Toy Time

Robert Bradford decided back in 2002 that his children's forgotten toys could play a part in something bigger. His life-size sculptures are pieced together with an unknown past, and pass on a cultural history as each of the pieces represents a point in time. Recycling is not his primary concern, however he prevents up to 3000 toys per sculpture becoming landfill, and his sculptures sell for roughly £12000. They're wonderfully kitsch however I can't imagine them in my home!

Barcelona Flower Market

Looking for places to visit in Barcelona after booking my summer holiday. Came across this flower market, Mercabarna-Flor, situated close to Barcelona International Airport. Love the combination of beautiful colours, really bring to life the simple linear structure.

Margarita Mileva: Wearable Rubber Band Art

Margarita Mileva's obsession with elastic bands lead to the creation of these colourful pieces. Mileva finds inspiration in objects that are rapidly becoming obsolete as a result of the pace of technology. These necklaces were created using only coloured rubber bands, yet still hold a fabulous sense of elegance. I love the way found, unexpected and unusual objects can be used in such a way that creates beautiful, wearable pieces of art.

Cecilia Lundgren Illustrations

Fallen in love with these beautiful fashion illustrations by Cecilia Lundgren. Simple, line drawings work so well with splashes of bold colour and dribbling ink.
